Platinum's classic fountain pen, the #3776 Century comes in beautiful translucent burgundy. The fountain pen has an innovative cap design that features Platinum's "slip and seal" mechanism that prevents the ink from drying out for up to 24 months.
The #3776 Century is named after the height of Mount Fuji (3776m) and has a gorgeous 14kt gold nib that gives quite a bit of flex.
Beautiful pen, arrived in immaculate shape from Knight's. Nice size and colour. I have a gold Sailor nib and greatly enjoy the feedback, and many smooth and lovely econo steel-nibbed Platinums. However, the slightly draggy feedback on this nib isn't for me, although I can understand why many like it. Nothing wrong with the pen, though!
The pen is gorgeous. Very light (with the cap not posted) so it moves easily, and the nib glides smoothly on plain paper. With the cap posted, the pen has a bit more mass but doesn't feel unbalanced. Lots of ink in Platinum's cartridge.
I choose the Medium nib which is good, except if you start to write smaller and then letters don't get formed properly, but would still pick Medium again.
I also ordered the converter in gold trim to match the pen but have yet to use it, or choose an ink.
