Knight's Writing Company is our pride and joy! We really want you to be happy with your purchase. Occasionally you may need to return a product to us. We understand this happens sometimes. We've got a few return policy terms for you. Please read them carefully.
Our goal is to fulfil and dispatch goods ordered to you within two business days of receiving your order. We currently deliver only within Canada and delivery times are expected to take no longer than two weeks and will generally be within one week. We always endeavour to get your order to you as quickly as we can, but we are also at the mercy of our carriers as well as the weather. We will generally use Canada Post as our preferred carrier, but we may use Purolator and UPS as alternatives on occasion.
We may instruct the carrier to hold your order in a local facility for products that can freeze (such as inks, etc) during winter months, between November and March. In this case you will receive a note from the carrier and will be required to pick up your package. We hope you understand that shipping water-based products such as ink, can be tricky during the winter months.
Shipping Rates and taxes
Shipping prices vary by province and postal area - please use the shipping calculator on the shopping cart page to find the cost for your package. All packages are sent with a tracking number. Please contact us regarding weights heavier than 5kg. We hope to implement a heavy weight policy shortly. We try to keep the rates as competitive as possible but we may review these rates from time to time. We currently offer free shipping on orders of $100 and above. We cannot offer free shipping to Northwest Territories, Yukon or Nunavut at this time. We currently do not ship international orders, but we hope to change this policy in the near future. Taxes are charged as per your provincial rate.
14 Day Returns
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it to us within 14 days of receipt. Merchandise must be received in a new or otherwise original condition and with the original packaging. Please note we do not charge a restocking fee.
Knight's Writing Company does not pay for or reimburse shipping on returns, except when we ship an incorrect item. In this case we will only reimburse shipping costs based on Canada Postal Service Ground shipping rates. Knight's Writing Company will not reimburse based on another shipper unless previously agreed to. Please contact us for queries regarding this.
If you receive damaged merchandise from us please contact us within 7 days of receipt of merchandise for the claim to be valid. Please email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone: 1-416-705-5168. If you receive damaged merchandise, it is important to preserve the product and its packaging. We will work with you to replace the damaged product as soon as possible. Please be aware that we have to work with the shipper in order to process a claim, so don't return a product until we give you further instructions. We fully inspect all products before they leave our warehouse.
Knight's Writing Company aims to process refunds as soon as possible. Please allow up to two weeks for us to process your refund once returns have been received. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by mail or credit card companies.
